The Lovely Ngiwe
What is love? Is it a breakfast which costs over a million rands on a menu of a five star hotel? Is it a rare, elusive species found in the deepest parts of the Brazilian jungle? Is it a special day we celebrate every year on the 14th of February? Or is it just a human emotion that is rarely activated in a society that has forgotten their activation passwords? If it is a breakfast, then I cannot afford it. If it is an elusive animal, than I will never see it. If it is a reserved special day, then I will prepare a special lunch. Or if it requires a password, than it will require that I learn the dirty skill off hacking.

The dictionary suggests that love is an “emotion of strong attraction and personal emotion”. Society has lost the password to unlocking this emotion. Very few people are capable of finding the password to unlocking this emotion. I recently became that minority of people that found their password. I’m a very secretive person however I will share my experience which lead to the discovery of my password.

It all came down to finding the perfect partner. All I had to do was ask her name. She replied “I’m Hlengiwe Magagula” and all off a sudden my heart sent a message to my brain which read “Access Granted”. All it took was the mentioning of those two names and suddenly this entirely new feeling exploded inside of me. The feeling felt like I had joined Alice in wonderland. When I lay my eyes on her for the first time I felt like I had actually found that elusive rare species because I had never seen such beauty in my entire existence. Her beautiful dark brown eyes, Hollywood shaped lips, perfectly tanned skin tone, Goddess like figure, natural long hair, with a voice that can stop a volcanic eruption. Could this really be a new discovery? If it is than I have the pleasure of being the discoverer. The dictionary defines this as a strong attraction, and “good Lord” I am strongly attracted to Hlengiwe.

Apart from her angelic beauty there is so much more than meets the eye. Equipped with a tertiary qualification, Hlengiwe is a woman full of intelligence. That intelligence allows her to have a strong personality that includes humour, conversation value, and kindness. My favourite thing about her is her strong humour. She is capable of constructing a joke from the smallest of detail in our everyday life. She even boosts my confidence with her capability of laughing at my dumbest of jokes. When I’m in her presence I easily lose track off time because of the chemistry our personalities create. The dictionary defines this as personal emotion which sounds like a formula we created in a lab to keep this fire burning.

I don’t know if this feeling is temporary or if it will last forever. However I plan to enjoy every moment I have with it, and I am willing to fight for it like a little boy fights for his Captain America action figure on the playground. All I know is I love her. I Love Hlengiwe Magagula.
